FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why do you sell your goats?  Each year our does (female goats) mate with a buck (male goat) so that they can get pregnant, have babies and continue to produce milk.  This enables us to have ample goat milk to use in our handcrafted goat milk soaps.  This also means that we have more babies born each year than we can keep here at our small farm.  We always look for happy, healthy homes for our goats.

Do I need to bottle feed my goat?  It depends.  If he or she is less than two months old, then please bottle feed with goat milk per the bottle feeding schedule below.

What is the bottle feeding schedule?  1 - 5 Weeks = 4x/day; 5 - 6 Weeks = 3x/day + grain/hay; 7 - 8 Weeks = 2x/day + grain/hay

When is the ideal time to buy a goat?  It depends on what your goals are.  If you want to bond with the goat and developing a loving relationship with him or her, we recommend buying as young as possible.  The more time you spend bottle feeding, the more attached he or she will become to you.
